Reading......

I love to read but do not usually make time for it......instead I just flick through magazines! Well I am pleased to report that I have just finished this book.

It is the fabulous story of Greg Mortenson and his amazing achievements. He was a climber who attempted Everest. He promised to return to a village and build a school, and he did! He has since built hundreds of schools for remote villages. I really recommend this book!

We have had a wet and wild 5 days with wind, rain and even some snow. It is nice to see the sun out again.

Have you seen the gallery lately? I have added lots of new layouts and cards. There are some gorgeous new Christmas cards by Dina and Tina. Here are a few;

Dina and Tina do love a bit of bling and they have added glitter to the petals of the red suede flowers and bird ........very cute!

A new craft for the Craft Queen........felting!

When I rang to book into a felt bag making course, I discovered the teacher was a friend from uni that I had not seen for 12 years! Well last night a few of us caught up for dinner and today, we had such a great day felting!

Fabric Frames

Don't you just love it when you see a great idea, store it and then actually make it! I loved these fabric frames by Donna Downey and yesterday, mum and I whipped these up. I am really happy with them. You just use embroidery hoops - I painted mine black, added some gorgeous fabric and used velevt ric rac, braid and stitched ric rac to give them some texture. The tree and bird are chipboard shapes painted black and 'love' is a rub-on.
